Services for Mr. Keith Craig are scheduled at 11am Friday, March 29, 2019 at at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, 3100 Angelus Dr. Amarillo Texas with Pastor Joyce.

Viewing will be held from 10am-11am before the service. Burial will be in Lubbock, Texas immediately following the funeral service.

Roosevelt Lee Brackens (Captain) Sr. was a Christian and loved the Lord. He was a faithful and devoted member of Mount of Blessings Seventh-Day Adventist Church until his health failed. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters; Alsandra Brackens, Inez Brackens and Leigh Ann Brackens all of Amarillo, a son Roosevelt Lee Brackens of Aurora, CO.

His viewing will be held Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at Golden Gate Mortuary located at 1416 N Hughes St. Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral service will be held  Friday at 11am, March 22, 2019 at Mount of Blessings Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Dr. Ennis Johnson-Officiant. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is the daughter of the late Andrew and Louella Watson.

She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter: Lanessa Beard Crosby  sister: Hattie Watson Lewis and brothers: Weldon and Roy Watson.

Gerry Cook born on July 7, 1947 in Planview, Texas to Milton and Daisy Cook.

Viewing will be held from 4pm-6pm on Monday, March 11, 2019  at Golden Gate Mortuary located at 1416 N Hughes St. Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, March 12. 2019  at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church located at 3100 Angelus Dr. Amarillo, Texas.  Burial will be at the  Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, Texas.

He served in United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He received an Honorable discharged after 8 years of service. He was a supervisor for the VA Hospital until he retired after 12 years of employment. He will be remembered by his smile, kind heart, and generosity. He was fashionable and had a love for hats.

Larry Hubbard

Larry Hubbard was born May 9, 1953 to Charlie Hub-
bard and the late Callie Mae Hubbard.

Larry had many friends, family and people that
truly loved him. He retired from a job he had waaaayyy
back in his early 20′s and decided to take a small job at
the city of Amarillo until he retired there. He was not one
to sit around and do nothing he was a very hard working
man, so he took on the task of giving less fortunate people
rides. Larry loved his food. Especially home cooked meals
with dessert at the end. He was always ready to eat
something up lol. He was always willing to help anyone
in need.

He was a very loving daddy and person.

He leaves behind his father, three sisters, three broth-
ers, a wife, two sons, two daughters, and a host of nieces and nephews 4 grandsons 4 granddaughters and one greatgrandson.

Pauline Collins-Walton departed this life on Friday, February 15, 2019.  She was born on March 7, 1965  in Paris Texas to the late Lewis Lee Collins, Sr. and Willie Lee Walker.  Pauline accepted her life to Christ at an early are and united at what is now Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ .

Pauline took “Strong Pride in caring for her nieces and nephews and was especially devoted to her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son: Anthony Collins of Amarillo. Sisters: Joyce Phillips of Dumas. Carolyn McNeary, Trudy Woods (Don) of Amarillo, Andrea Hale of San Antonio.  Brother: Eddie Collins, Sr. of Amarillo and a host of family and friends.

Edna was born June 12, 1944.

Ethel Rakestraw Born in Dallas, Texas.

She married Jim Rakestraw in Corsicana, Texas and lived in the panhandle for more than 60 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons; Vernell Blair and Jim A. Rakestraw. Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

James Shepherd

James Shepherd

James Shepherd was born in the union of Benny and Florence Shepherd in Linden, Texas and attended school in Caddo Mills. There he met Effie Mae Johnson whom he later married. He worked as a farmer, owned multiple harvest trucks and later retired doing what he loved. He loved his dog “Rambo”. He’ll forever be known by his CB handle easy lover.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Florence Shepherd; sister, wife, Effie Shepherd.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: four daughters: Pat Shepherd, Lisa (Tony) Tubbs, Terisa Shepherd Johnson all of Amarillo, Texas and Peggy (Robert) Torence of Fayetteville, NC.  One son: Richard (Leila) Shepherd of Las Lunas, New Mexico; One brother: Nathaniel (Dorothy) Shepherd of Bovina, Texas; One sister: Quinnie (Felton) Atkins of Nevada, Texas. Ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be held Sunday March 3, 2019  from 4pm-6pm. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11am, March 4, 2019 at St. John Baptist Church located at 2301 N.W. 14th St. burial Bovina, Texas at 2pm.

Dwight Jeremaine Terry was born to April Wright and Dwight Terry, in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended public schools in Fort Worth, Texas, and Gastonia, North Carolina and graduated from Tascosa High School May of 2018.

His survivors are his mother; April Wright (Garrett) and his father Dwight. His grandmother; Diana Reed of Amarillo, TX, Gail Crawford, great grandmother; Eula Pickens(Nene) of Fort Worth, Texas, sisters; Kaeley Reed and Haeleigh Reed of Amarillo, Texas, Destini Wright of Chicago, IL, and Amanda Terry and Jade Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas, brothers; James Childs of Amarillo, Texas, and Jarrett Wright of Chicago, IL, seven nieces, 2 nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be held Thursday, from 5-7pm, February 28, 2019 at New Covenant Missionary 3100 Angelus Dr. Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at  10am Temple of Praise Community Church, 1901 W. Amarillo Blvd.
