Edna “Faye” Ybarra, 52,  died Tuesday, November 11, 2014.

Services will be Friday at 2pm, November 15, 2014 in First Baptist Church of Groom, Groom Texas with Minister Andy Dietz. Burial will be in Groom Cemetary.  Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Amarillo, Texas.

Edna “Faye” Ybarra was born on February 19, 1962, in Canyon, Texas and raised in Tulia, Texas to the late Audrey McClain and James Plant.  Faye was adopted into the family at the age of 12 years old to Shirley and Jack White.  She was a caregiver for many years, a contract cleaner for the Postal Service, and cared for many citizens of Groom.

 Faye was dedicated to the First Baptist Church.  She was a devoted, giving, loving, kind, and caring wife, mother, and friend.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends.  Her hobbies included cooking, reading, singing, playing the piano, keeping up with everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, thank you cards and praising the Lord.  

 She is preceded in death by her mother; Audrey McClain, brother; Copen Wheeler, and aunt; Clara Winfrey

 She is survived by; husband; Juan Aguirre Ybarra “John”Children; Michael Bo Hill, Valarie Ybarra, Juan Aguirre Ybarra Jr., Lisa Upton, Colton Pullen, Krystal Upton, Vidal Ybarra One son-in-law, two daughter-in-laws, 13 grandchildren, five sisters, two brothers, Parents; Shirley Wheeler and Jack Wheeler and a host of relatives and friends

Jannie Jeffery, 86, formerly of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, in Houston.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. Steven C. Staten, pastor, and the Rev. Morris Mitchell, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes.

Mrs. Jeffery was born Jan. 29, 1928, in Logansport, La., to Lewis and Millie Jackson. She graduated from Turner High School in Carthage. She attended Texas College and retired from Atmos Energy. She was a loyal member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church and a lifelong Christian and missionary.

She was preceded her in death by her husband, Elder R.B. Jeffery.

Survivors include a daughter; Mary Jefferson of Houston; three sons, Sylvania Jeffery and R.B. Jeffery Jr., both of Amarillo and Richard Jeffery of El Paso; a sister, Mattie George of Texas City; a niece, Mary Wilson of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Felicia Jeffery of Seguin, David (Sharon) Miles and James “Lucky” Jeffery, both of Houston, Raumon Taylor of Amarillo; a host of great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home
