Jean E. Smith, 69, died Saturday, March 19, 2016.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris Mitchell, pastor, officiating and Pastor Johnny Crisp as eulogist. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.

Jean Evenlyn Smith was born July 22, 1946, in Oklahoma City to Style and Lucille Crisp. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

She retired from the Amarillo public school system as a school teacher.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Lorenzo Smith; her children, Freddie Taylor, Phyllis Smith Nichols and husband AJ, Jerrod Smith, Christopher Smith and LaSeandra Smith Fugett; her stepchildren, Douglas Mitchell, Bobbie Scott, Lela London and Dee Dee London; her brothers, Richard Crisp and wife Mona and the Rev. Johnny Crisp and wife Mary; her sisters, Carline Robinson and husband Bob, Loretta Morgan and Janet Wallace and husband Everett; 29 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Geneva Wells, 71, died Sunday, March 13, 2016.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with Bishop James Mims of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.

Geneva Aldridge Wells, 71, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at her residence in Amarillo.

She was born June 20, 1944, in Wellington to William and Ardelia Aldridge. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, solving puzzles, spending time with her family and friends, and attending church at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.

Survivors include a sister, Ruthie Washington of Fort Worth; two daughters, Amelia Dinkens of Columbia, Mo., and Brenda Dinkens-Jones of Amarillo; two sons, Harold Aldridge of Liberal, Kan., and Robert Dinkens of Amarillo; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Thomas R. Johnson, 62, died Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in New Fellowship Baptist Church in Tulia with Pastor Matthew Veals and Pastor Greg Perkins as eulogist. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.

Thomas R. Johnson was born in Turkey to Thomas Johnson and Luellar Johnson. He was employed with Taylor Evans Seed Co. and Big N Seed Co. as a seed operator. He enjoyed family, friends, and cookouts.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patricia Ann Johnson of Tulia; a stepdaughter, Demetris Barrow and husband Tracy of Amarillo; a sister, Elizabeth Yarbrough of Tulia; his sisters-in-law, Melvia Perkins of Amarillo, Jennifer Perkins Henderson and husband Joe of Tulia and Tina Perkins
of Denver; his brothers-in-law, Donald Perkins of Lubbock and Greg Perkins and wife Mecca of Waco; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Sharon Elaine Dandridge

Sharon Elaine Dandridge, 62, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Darrin E. Willis of Nazareth Baptist Church in Waco officiating and Pastor Leland Dandridge of Eastside Baptist Church in Austin as eulogist. Arrangements by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.

Sharon Elaine Dandridge was born April 13, 1953, on Camp Roberts Military Base in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Johnie Steward and Ida Mae Mitts. She entered her eternal rest on Feb. 22, 2016, after a long battle with illness.

She graduated from Seaside High School in 1970. After graduation, she met and married Raymond Roy Dandridge Jr., and to this union two sons were born, Raymond Roy Dandridge III and Marcus Dwayne Dandridge.

After moving to Texas, Sharon accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of Galilee Church of God in Christ. She later united with Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Rev. D.D. Fincher. She attended Sunday school and church regularly until failing health prevented her from attending.

Sharon attended Amarillo College and received a certified nursing assistant certification. She worked as a CNA for years. In 1990, she was employed at BSA and worked there until 2008, when her health began to deteriorate.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Roy Dandridge III and wife Robin and Marcus Dwayne Dandridge; a sister, Linda Feazell Stagg and husband Tim of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Robert and Michael Steward of Salinas, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and a very special best friend, Deborah Kemp.

Viewing will be Friday at the funeral home.
