LaKesha Monique Johnson Gilbreath, 38, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop James Mims, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Vurn Martin of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church as eulogist. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.
LaKesha Monique Johnson Gilbreath was born Nov. 10, 1978, in Tucson, Ariz. She graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Amarillo College. She enjoyed being a mother, enjoyed her family, loved dancing and was always excited about getting her hair done.
Survivors include a daughter, MaurKesha Johnson Gilbreath; her husband, Maurice Gilbreath of Amarillo; three sisters, Nadeana Flowers of Atlanta, Ga., Sabrina Brown of Dallas and Sharay Brown and husband Timothy of Forth Worth; a brother, Damien Brown and wife Sarah of Amarillo; six aunts, Delois Davis, Angela White, Brenda White, Betty White, Tammy White and Michelle White; and a host of other relatives and friends.
