Kimberley Dawn Alexander, 51, of Amarillo.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday September 30, 2017 at 10:00am in New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop James Mims as Eulogist Co-Pastor Joyce Mims Officiating.

Kimberley Dawn Alexander was born December 17, 1965 to the parentage of John M. and Birdie Mae Alexander. She was reared in a Christian home professing her faith at New Covenant Baptist Church in Amarillo, under the leadership of Pastor James Mims. Kim graduated from Amarillo High School and attended the University of Houston. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, and traveling as often as she could. Kimberley transitioned from this life on Thursday, September 21, 2017 to be reunited with her Mom and Dad and her beloved sister, Marcia.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  Four brothers, David and Jerome of Amarillo, Ronald (Anita) of Hemah Ca., Joey of Fort Worth, TX. Four Sisters, Billie L Ray of Pflugerville, Donna Kay Hughes of Amarillo, Wanda L Williams (Clarence) of Alabama. Linda Alexander Mims of Duncanville and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

Deborah Graves, 60, was born March 30, 1957, in Amarillo to Perry Mitchell Sr. and Narvella Mitchell.

There will be a Graveside Service Tuesday September 26, 2017 at 11am, Llano Cemetery. With Nathan Cleveland Officiating and Eulogist.  Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes, Amarillo, TX 79107, Bishop James and Joyce Mims -Owners

Deborah loved her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She enjoyed helping others.  She attended Amarillo College and worked in the nursing field for over 25 years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Perry Mitchell Sr.; her mom, Narvella Mitchell, a brother Alfred Mitchell; a granddaughter, Porshonda Oliver; and two great-grandsons, King and Cornelius Jones.

Survivors include her three daughters; Carolyn Mitchell and Nathan Cleveland; Jeffery and Lidia Dailey of Amarillo; Toshiba Benard and James Brice of South Carolina, Grandchildren: Shakira Burks, Zaykeia Mitchell, Natavius Anderson, Chante Benard, Harmonie Anderson Porshena and Cecil Echols, Porshanra Oliver, Elroy Oliver III; Great Grandchildren and her siblings: A’nyla, Elsiah, Adalyn, Try’Nity, Tye’Leik, Cecil Jr.  Lisa and Perry Mitchell Jr. Harold Mitchell, John Mitchell, and Mary and David May and The Graves Family and nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.

 Viewing will be held at Golden Gate Mortuary Chapel of Angels Monday, September 25, 2017  from 2pm – 6pm

Johnny V. Scott Sr, 67, was born July 2, 1950, in Memphis, TX, to the late Freddy Asberry and Hattie Anderson.

Services will be 11am Saturday in New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements by  Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Amarillo, TX, James and Joyce Mims- Owners.

Johnny enjoyed sports, working, being around people, and peace.  He was such a joy to be around.  He was such a granny’s baby. He attended Mt. Zion Baptist, Memphis TX, under the leadership of Pastor VR Gilmore.  He enjoyed Sunday School, BTU and Vacation Bible School.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother; Hattie Anderson, Father; Freddy Asberry, brother; Cornelius Scott, sister; Sue Steptoe.

Survivors include his wife Mary Joanne Scott Pampa TX.  Sons; Johnny Vernon (Amanda) Scott Jr., Pampa, TX.  Janestyl Scott, Monroe, Louisiana; Aaron (Sarah) Young, Pampa,TX. Daughters; Tonya Young, Oklahoma City, OK. Shelly Young McKinney, TX. Brothers; Fred Jackson, Robert Asberry (Amarillo, TX), Donnell Asberry (Patricia), Amarillo TX, Freddy Scott, Colma, CA. Adel Scott Pittsburg, CA.  Eddie William (Marilyn), Memphis, TX, Michael Knox, Abilene TX. Ozell Cook


Ozell Cook born on October 10, 1945, in Rosebud, Texas to, Milton Cook, Jr and Daisy Bell Cook.

Services will be 11am Saturday, September 2, 2017, in Temple of Praise, Bishop Chris Brown, pastor, Pastor William C. Fifer, as eulogist.  Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 North Hughes St, Amarillo TX

Ozell was the eighth of fourteen children. He served in the 82nd Air Borne Division as an Infantry Paratrooper in Vietnam. During this time, he was wounded several times and received a Purple Heart. In addition, Ozell received a Silver Star for gallantry. He completed his term and was received an honorable discharge in 1967.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters: Cassandra Lemons (Robert) of Mesquite, TX, Erika Milton (Patrick) and Arnedra “Tweety” Cook of Garland, TX; two sons: Kevin Robinson of Fort Worth, TX and Adrian Cook of Dallas, TX.; five brothers: Charlie Cook (Rushia) of Houston, TX, Gerry Cook, Jerry Cook and William Cook all of Amarillo and Lindsey Cook of Huntsville, TX; three sisters: Chinester Cook Brackeen (Rogers) of Amarillo, TX, Clancy Nell of Los Angeles, CA, Sammie Johnson (Wendell) of San Angelo, TX; ex-wife, Eleanor Tennison and one brother-in-law, A. J. Nichols II; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
