Willie Simmons

Willie Odell Simmons was born to Macle Chivers and Andrew Simmons Sr. August 3, 1940 in Idabel Oklahoma. Willie Odell was an honored veteran who served for the United States Army and travelled all over the world a huge part being in Germany. Willie Odell accepted Christ in his life at an early age and throughout was an exceptional bible teacher and song-leader.

Viewing will be held at Golden Gate Mortuary Chapel of Angels, Friday November 30, 2018 from 4pm-6pm located at 1416 N. Hughes St.  Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral service will held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3pm at North Heights Church of Christ located at 1810 N. Hughes St.  Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary.

Peggy Lee Johnson

Peggy Lee Johnson

Peggy Johnson, was born April 7, 1955  in Wellington, Texas to Herman and Frankie Moore, and is one of ten children. Peggy was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and sibling.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Golden Gate Mortuary at the Chapel of Angels from 4 pm – 6pm located 1416 N. Hughes St.  Amarillo, Texas.

Service will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11am in Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church located at 1215 N. Hughes St. Amarillo Texas.  Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary.

Burial will be at  Fairview Cemetery at 3:00 pm in Wellington, Texas.

Rayford Montreal "Ray" Cleveland

 

Rayford Montreal “Ray” Cleveland, 46, of Amarillo died November 6, 2018.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 10, 2018 at 1 pm at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, 3100 Angelus Dr.  Amarillo, Texas.  Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary 1416 N Hughes St.  Amarillo, Texas.

Rayford Cleveland was born on February 18, 1972 to Jacquline Cleveland and Dan Lewis.  He graduated  from Amarillo High School in 1991.

On November 6, 2018 at 8:28pm God saw that he was tired and the cure was not to be.  So He wrapped his arms around Rayford and whispered, “Come to me,” you do not deserve what you are going through, so he gave him needed rest, God’s garden must be beautiful, because He only takes the best.

Rayford is preceded in death by his mother, Jacquline Cleveland and his 2 grandmothers, Ruby Lewis and Maggie Cleveland.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife Alice Cleveland, Three stepchildren: Ayannia Samora(13), Jacob Samora(12) and D’amarion Harris and Two biological children: Treyvon (Julie)Cleveland and Zaniqua Ramos. Two brothers: Derell(cindy)Milligan and Jeremy Hodgest, Five grandchild: Treydon Williams, Jakayla Cleveland, M’kaylen Ramos, Jordan Harper and Betty Johnson…And a host of family and friends.
