Dorothy Williams Wilson was born October 28,1950 in Rule, Texas to the late James Edward Williams and Annie Mae Jefferson Williams. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church before rededicating her life to Jesus Christ at Carter Chapel CME Church. Dorothy was loved by many neighborhood children. She always kept her door open for a warm meal and motherly advice to many neighborhood children.

Viewing will be held from 5pm-7pm on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Golden Gate Mortuary located at 1416 N. Hughes St.  Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 11am  Saturday, April 13, 2019  at Carter Chapel CME Church located at  W. 2nd St. Amarillo, Texas.

She leaves behind to cherish her legacy: Son James Williams Sr.  Daughters: Annie Mae (Jermaine)Patterson, Elizabeth (Dennelle)Freeman, Tonya (Tracey)Matthews,  Rivetta Brinegar,  Ballard “Bill” Williams of Montana, Sister-in-laws Barbara Williams of Lufkin, Texas.  Mary Williams of Rule, Texas. 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grand kid and host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Johnny was born November 5, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Moses Leonard Alberts and Robbie Lee Alberts. Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary 1416 N Hughes St.  Amarillo,Texas.

Memorial service will be at 2pm  Saturday, April 6, 2019  at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church located at 3100 Angelus Dr  with Pastor Joyce Mims.

Ruby Pearl Burgess

Ruby P Burgess

Ruby was born May 24, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to the late Gibson and Violet Swain. She was a long-time standing member of New Bible Birth Fellowship Church, under the leadership of her son Pastor E.J. Cofer. Arrangements provided by Golden Gate Mortuary.

Viewing will be held from 4pm-6pm Friday, April 5, 2019 at Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.  Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 6, 2019 at New Birth Bible Fellowship, 2501 SW 3rd with Pastor EJ Cofer as pastor and eulogist.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, sisters, and son Fredrick Cofer.

She is survived by two brothers: Daniel of Amarillo, Texas and George of Texarkana, Texas. Three sons, four daughters, and host of family and friends.
