Military rites provided by Volleys for Veterans. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes.

Louis Gonzales peacefully passed away on January 9, 2015 and went on to be with the lord at the age of 88 years old. Louis was born December 22, 1926 in Cedar Creek, Texas to Minnie Simms, homemaker, and Manuel Gonzales, farmer.
Louis spent his younger days helping his dad maintain an 85 acre grain and livestock farm with his father. In November of 1945 he joined the Army and was station in Yokahama, Japan. There he spent his days working as a cook and a mechanic. He later was awarded the WWII Medal of Victory.
After he was honorably discharged he met his loving Betty Sansom at church in Ralls, TX. On January 5, 1958 they were married. He began working for Sears and Roebucks, provided landscaping services for Tol and Mary Ware, and worked at the San Jacinto Baptist Church/Quail Creek. He also was on the Deacon’s broad at Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C. and Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ.
He is lovingly remembered by his loving wife Betty of 63 years; His children Edith (Mal) Carr, Renee Wesley, Lori, Louis Todd (Mary Ann) Gonzales; his sister; Retha, 13 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren 1 great-great grandson.
