Ethel M. Angton, 59, of Amarillo died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Love Fellowship Church with Bishop Warren Coble as eulogist. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary.
Ethel was born Feb. 14, 1957, in Collingsworth County to Columbus and Elnora Bryant. She was united in holy matrimony to Albert Angton on Nov. 25, 1981. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior early in life. She attended Greater Faith Mission Church in Shamrock and later became a member of the Love Fellowship Church in Amarillo.
She graduated from Samnorwood High School, attended West Texas A&M University and obtained her LVN license from Clarendon College. She was employed at Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home in Amarillo, Georgia Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, Country Club Nursing Rehabilitation and Shamrock Nursing Home.
Survivors include 2 sons, Albert Angton of Fort Worth and Bryant Angton of Amarillo; 3 daughters, Brandi Angton of Fort Worth, Starla Angton and Danielle Angton, both of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Columbus Bryant of Shamrock and John Bryant of California; 6 sisters, Gladys Bryant Menefield of Shamrock, Ada Asante Hampton of Ga., Mable Coble and husband Bishop Warren Coble of Amarillo, Mattie Block and husband Reggie Block of Fayetteville, Ga., Peggy Bryant of Stockton, Calif., and Mary Bryant of Amarillo; and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
